At Kawata Orthodontics, our mission is to make orthodontics a positive experience! Our well-established family practice offers a warm, inviting, patient-focused environment where everyone is welcome. We cater to patients of all ages: children, teens, and adults. We understand that selecting an orthodontist for you and your family can be a complicated decision. Please be assured that our treatment costs are straightforward and include many aspects of orthodontic treatment that other offices charge extra for.

Meet Dr. Garrett Kawata

Dr. Garrett Kawata has practiced orthodontics in Corona for over 30 years. Having grown up in California and raised his own family here, he understands the needs of the patients and families he treats. He is committed to orthodontic excellence and is dedicated to making your orthodontic treatment a positive experience.

After attending the University of Southern California for his undergraduate studies, Dr. Kawata earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He then returned to the USC School of Dentistry for his advanced specialty degree in orthodontics. He continues to be involved at the USC School of Dentistry, Department of Graduate Orthodontics, as a clinical professor.

Meet Dr. Allie Kawata

Dr. Allie Kawata knew she wanted to work in healthcare since she was a college student. She loves that orthodontics gives her the opportunity to work with patients of all ages and from all walks of life.

Dr. Allie graduated from Chapman University in 2016. Following Dr. Garrett Kawata’s footsteps, she attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, then went on to the University of Southern California for her residency in orthodontics. Upon her graduation from USC in 2022, Dr. Allie earned multiple awards for her accomplishments during her residency. She recently earned board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.

The faces behind the scenes

Bobbie has been a treatment coordinator for more than five years and joined our office in August 2022. She has five amazing children and a wonderful husband. In her free time, she loves boating, camping, being outdoors, and hosting gatherings with her friends and family.

Margaret is our scheduling coordinator. She has been married for 23 years and has four beautiful daughters and a goldendoodle named MJ. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, traveling, and watching college softball.

Jan has worked with our office in the past as a chairside assistant, and we’re very fortunate to have her back as our financial coordinator. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and making decorations and crafts.

Melanie has worked as an RDA in the orthodontic field for over 20 years and joined our office in 2012. She is married and has two wonderful children. Away from the office, she enjoys fitness, cooking, entertaining family and friends, and watching football.

Rosalinda has been working as an RDA in orthodontics for over twenty years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to cook. She is most famous for her Thai tea!

Breanna has worked in dentistry for over 20 years and orthodontics for the past 15 years. She has 3 beautiful children and loves music and singing.

Martha was born in the U.S. and raised in Mexico. She graduated from university in Zacatecas, Mexico in 2017, then served in the Mexican Armed Forces as a general dentist for one year. She has been working as an RDA since she returned to the U.S. in 2018. Whenever she has time to spare, she enjoys visiting her family in Mexico, hiking, and cooking for family and friends.
